Book Description

This book is based on stories told by Hughes to his children, Nicholas and Frieda, aged six and seven at the time of publication. They, along with their two year old half sister, Shura, became the dedicatees of the book. It was the basis for the animated film “The Iron Giant” (1999).

Condition A near fine copy, neat previous owner’s inscription to front endpaper, text block with a few small marginal stains, boards very bright with just slight wear to upper edges at spine, in a very good dustwrapper indeed, slight wear at corners and spine ends.
