Published by Rodwell and Martin, London, 1821 (this is the date printed on the spine, but 7 of the plates are dated 1822). Originally issued in parts, the title page comes from the second of those parts. Half green leather binding with decorated paper covered boards. Gilt lettering to spine. Aem. 11ins x 8.75ins, marbled endpapers, title page, frontis, 2pp dedication, 2pp introduction, 6pp text followed by 24pp plates. The plates were drawn by Joseph Wilkinson and etched by Henry Davy. Three of the plates have "proof" written to their base in pencil. Foxing to the margins of some of the plates. Modern bookplate to verso of front free endpaper. Corners worn. Leather to edge of spine rubbed. A G to G+ copy of a very scarce title.
