Published by Hodder & Stoughton, London, nd [but probably 1st edition of 1912].. Green cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine and front board. Elaborate gilt decoration to front board. Contained in its origial box which has a pasted illustration to the top. 10.75ins x 8.25ins, decorated endpapers, title page, 198pp plus 25 tipped-in colour plates. Also some black and white illustrations within the text. Browning to the free endpapers, which is the only thing making the book VG rather than Fine. The box is faded and rubbed, and split to the corners, but it has done the job of preserving the brightness of the book. Scarce in box.
