Book Description

R. Stevenson. 1977. First printing of the Sex Pistols Scrap Book, self-published by photographer Ray Stevenson in 1977. The book was withdrawn from sale after legal threats by Malcolm McLaren who thought the cover design was too similar to Jamie Reid's design for the "Never Mind the Bollocks" album cover. The book was re-issued (with changes) as The Sex Pistols File a year later. Known as the first book on the Sex Pistols and one of the scarcest books on punk ever published. A very good copy: covers slightly rubbed; a few scuff marks to spine area. A rare survivor of the punk years!
