Book Description

19 x 13.5 cm. 'Twentieth Century Library' edition. Ochre cloth with red and black design: a little grubby and re-backed. Ageing to text block edges. Entirely clean throughout. Front design of a naked Adam grappling with snakes plus graphic design has the hallmark of Eric Gill, though this is unacknowledged. The design is reiterated ahead of the rear index of titles available in the series which includes Gill's own contribution on Art. Discussion on the provenance of this title welcomed.
