Book Description

London: Nicholas Kaye, 1962. First edition , first printing. This is a very good (or better) copy. In the beautiful dust wrapper, designed by the author, which has only some moderate handling marks to the rear panel and light wear to the spine tips to note. It has not been price clipped (21s net). The boards are sharp in the publisher's blue cloth, and the gilt titling unmarked. The top edge is spotted. The author (and illustrator) has flat signed his name in blue ink to the full title. Overall, this is a very good (or better) but very presentable copy. BB explores the remote Scottish Highlands, covering some areas which he did not get to on his first journey (as described in The Autumn Road to the Isles ).
