Provenance: Armorial bookplate of Henry W. Hemsworth to front paste-down, presentation inscription from Hemsworth dated 1832; sold as lot 648 at the Sotheby auction of the library of John Graham, Bishop of Chester, 8th March 1866; From the library of Charles Butler (1821-1910), Warren Wood in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The majority of the library was sold at Sotheby’s, London, on 5 April 1911.
