Dealer Notes
A rare broadside relating to the British involvement in the Crimean War. I have been unable to locate another copy of this in any online catalogue worldwide.

This was one of the first wars to be documented extensively by written reports and photography, and after suffering huge losses in the Battle of Balaclava, and the Charge of the Light Brigade, the British public came to regard it as an example of tactical, logistical and medical failures and mismanagement. There were calls for more professionalisation, famously from Florence Nightingale, who gained worldwide attention for pioneering modern nursing methods whilst attending the wounded.
