4 vols of unpublished typescript, annotated in presumed preparation for publication. The typescript comprising 128; 129-259; 261-378; 379-484 leaves. stapled at the top corner and with rust marks. No illustrations. Louis Cobbett (1862-1947) visited Palestine for four short visits ending in 1938. He chose to address questions such as The position of Mount Zion, Kadesh Barnea and the date of Exodus as well as the customs and beliefs of the early Hebrews. Cobbett was a successful academic pathologist, at one time Professor of Pathology at Leeds and Lecturer at Cambridge. Some of his Cambridgeshire antiquarian papers are held at Cambridge and he donated ethnographical items to the British Museum.
