A linocut from the artist's series of ten views of Cambridge buildings. Printed by Hoyle on Japanese handmade Hosho paper. Dimensions are 102 cms by 74 cms ( including the mount ), paper size 95 cms by 67 cms.

Walter Hoyle ( 1922-2000 ) was an English artist, known for his prints, watercolours and illustration. He was a central figure in the Great Bardfield group of artists and a close associate of Edward Bawden. He taught at the Central School, London, and, for twenty years, at the Cambridge School of Art.

Condition The print is very good, the mount is discoloured with age. The print colours are strong and unfaded. The poster is protected by a plastic sleeve and has been photographed thus - please excuse any reflected light in the pictures.
