Book Description
NEW EDITION. Large 8vo. (8.4 x 6.9 inches). 261pp. Complete. A notice at the beginning of the book states that none of the melodies have been omitted from this edition. A very good copy throughout. Finely bound in attractive nineteenth century full dark green morocco leather. Spine with raised bands, each with diagonal gilt line decorations. Compartments double ruled, lettered, and decorated in gilt, including shamrock centre pieces. Both boards with elaborate gilt borders and gilt harp device within. Board edges bevelled. Plain black coated endpapers. Decorative gilt turn-ins. All edges gilt. Neat wedding gift presentation, dated 1900, to the front endpaper. Some rubbing and marking to the binding but overall a lovely tight and solid copy of this beautiful book. The binding is unsigned but certainly the work of a master bookbinder.
