The First UK printing published by Methuen 1953. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. Light pushing and fading tot he spine ends. Mild rubbing to the lower corners. A hint of toning to the text-block. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The scarce WRAPPER is price-clipped and is in Very Good+ condition. Mild edge wear with a little more rubbing, creasing and nicks to the spine ends. A 3cm closed tear to the upper front flap fold and a 2 cm closed tear to the upper edge. The spine colouring remains bright. The John Minton designed wrapper artwork remains bright in the removable Brodart archival cover. Scarce.
