This appears to consist of watercolours and drawings made during a tour in June 1849, with slightly later accompanying notes, made on his return to England in July or August. Includes; "View from a hill between Bangor and the Minai Bridge, looking East June 21 1849 - a double page water colour with ink descriptions to the foot. A leaf in ink describing Iceland (1850-1851), with a facing page with eater colour and questions regarding Iceland. The next leaf being a neat partially coloured map of Iceland, with physical description. Sketches of a Norwegian Plough, Norwegian Hay Wagon, a full page "Ground plan of the Geysers, copies from Barrow's Iceland" Some other neat watercolour illustrations, showing various views (eg. Edinburgh). One leaf with a drawing of a spider and some pencil drawings. At the end are six pages of pencil portrait sketches, perhaps family members. William Nourse, author of A Short and Plain History of Cholera, 1857 was admitted a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1841 and of the Royal Medical and Chirurgical Society of London in 1847. He appears to have been employed by Sir Compton Domvile, M.P. (1775 - 1857) and Lady Domvile as family doctor and companion to their son William (1825 - 84, who in the earlier years suffers from fits), travelling with the family between their property in Ireland, Santry House, Dublin and Grosvenor Square, London. At the time of his death in 1912 he was Past President of the Brighton and Sussex Natural History and Philosophic Societies. His manuscript diaries, sold in 2019, reveal that he also travelled to Ireland in 1842, Norway in 1850, and Egypt in 1852,
