The sole UK printing published by The Pear Tree Press, Flansham, Bognor Regis, Sussex in 1938. Number '54' of only 160 numbered copies issued. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. Original pale blue boards, the upper board with illustrated label. Some early splitting to the upper third of the spine but the binding remains very tight. Board edges lightly toned. The frontispiece, vignette title page, and head- and tail-piece by John Guthrie, all printed in blue. Internally clean. Printed on 12 point John Bell type by John freeman on unbleached hand-made paper by Arnold and Foster. Inscribed by John Guthrie on the front blank end-paper : 'With kind wishes, from Mr & Mrs Guthrie, April 1940'. With the very scarce SINGLE page PROSPECTUS which is in Very Good+ condition with some light creasing and spotting to the edges. The prospectus measures 22.5 x 28,5 cm. and has been folded once. A very handsome production from James Guthrie's Press and very scarce with such attributes.
