Separate title page to each part, the second of which is undated, and the third dated 1652, collation continuous. Slightly trimmed, occasional mark, but overall a clean example. Scattered early underlining to suggestive passages, with Bishop of Norwich added by hand to title page, the date September 1790 on page 123, and the word observe added to page 56. Late eighteenth century full calf gilt, edges speckled. Signature Robert Marriott 1817 to front paste-down, and a few index notes to rear pastedown. Rather a rare reprinting of the 1652 edition, with only one in the US, in the Union Theological Seminary Library. Please note faults, but rather a difficult work to find, and in an attractive binding. Priced accordingly.
