Limited edition, this number 12 of 100 numbered copies signed by and with an original oil painting by Charles Bukowski signed 'Buk' . painting tipped-in with wax-paper tissue-guard between dedication and half-title. Book signed and with author's ink doodle of a man with a bottle to limitation page at rear. Original yellow cloth-backed pictorial paper-covered boards, paper label to spine, acetate dust-jacket. Mint. This is Bukowski's most well-loved work, a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story in depression-era Los Angeles. Together with a rare early recording of the author reading his own work. On a casstette tape and without copyright or publisher, the printed wrapper lists 20 works read aloud by the author. in Fine condition. Stated as recorded in 1970
