The poem Ted Walker has written very neatly out at the front of the this book is ‘Crocuses’ which was the first poem in his next volume ‘The Solitaries’ (1967). Winner of the Eric Gregory Award for 1964, Ted Walker won the inaugural Cholmondeley Award for poetry with this book. His autobiographical volume ‘The High Path’ was reprinted by Slightly Foxed in their series of limited editions.
