Scarce. Undated, c1890. 1st edition in pencil to early blank. Four books bound as one. 1- Merry Little Tales for Merry Little Hearts. Published C W B Naumburg. 2- The Careless Chicken by Krakemsides, illustrated by Alfred Crowquill. Published by Grant & Griffith. 3-English Struwwelpeter or Pretty Stories and Funny Pictures. 4- Laughter Book for Little Folks. Brown half leather and green cloth boards with missing lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are worn exposing the board beneath. Spine split and the title label is missing. The binding strings have rotted away leaving all the pages detached. Would need the attentions of a good book binder to realise its full potential.
