Celebrating 50 years of book fairs

Book Description

A really wonderful Second Impression of this classic book with a wealth of gorgeous illustrations by Ruth Gervis (perhaps most famous for illustrating Ballet Shoes). To find a good dustwrapper on an early edition is increasingly difficult, this example is not price clipped (7/6) and is in good condition with slight edge wear and chips around head and tail of spine and a little minimal fading. The boards are pretty but have a little staining and wear, internally bright and clean the page edges are slightly darkened and there is a neat owners inscription in ink the the front endpaper. The story revolves around the Farrar family and their retriever James spending the Christmas holidays with their Aunt - producing and acting a play. We also have a number of other titles by this author in stock.
