In unimproved condition. Uncut in original publisher's gray paper boards and spine with paper lettering-piece. Wear to binding, with loss of paper on spine ends; the backstrip on vol. 3 is missing, on vol. 2 is mostly present though torn, on vol.1 is detached. Label is intact and still legible on vol. 1 . Rear board vol.1 held by cords, otherwise hinges holding quite well. Text blocks firm and pages very clean

Provenance Chatsworth House. Copac records three copies, at Cambridge, Kent and The National Trust libraries. They ascribe as author a Mrs./Miss Blackwell. Worldcat returns the one copy at Cambridge.
