Book Description
Preliminary sketches, mounted and framed behind glass, said to be from the sale of material from the artists studio. This is double sided, glazed on both sides. 'Independence' measures 20.5cm x 15cm, the drawings on the rear 17.5cm x 25cm.
This version of 'Independence' was not used in 'When We Were Very Young', On the reverse which is titled 'Nursery Chairs' are three sketches, The first is of 'The Second Chair' the second the Fourth Chair and at the bottom of the sheet 'The Third Chair.
