1st edition. Approx 12 x 9”. 22 full page illustrations of a single dog ‘in colour’, that is, shades of black, white and brown on brown paper. Short descriptions of the dog opposite. Many further smaller line drawings on every page. Also contains a 7” x 9” flyer of an exhibition of dog pictures by Dawson at the Greatorex Galleries in London in 1936. Brown boards with white titles on front board, spine title nearly rubbed off. Top spine frayed 1” down front hinge. Neat inscription on front endpaper.
