Book Description

First edition. Quarto. Three volumes. Vol 1: xvi, 493 (1); Vol 2: xii, 464; Vol 3: xii, 414. The first two volumes are dated 1769, the third 1770. BOUND IN CONTEMPORARY full cats-paw calf, with gilt spines, edges red. Lacks all but two labels, nevertheless a very attractive binding. A hint of foxing in the prelims, but overall a very clean example of this renowned work (please see photos).
