First edition thus; folio (40.5 x 27.5 cm); parallel text in Hebrew, Greek, Latin, English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish, with the Samaritan Pentateuch and Syriac NT, morocco gilt-lettered presentation plate to front pastedown, further MS presentation inscription tipped-in to front free endpaper, slight offsetting to margins and minor marginal staining to title and prelims, otherwise internally clean; contemporary purple morocco, covers with gilt fielded oval relief of floral urns within double gilt-roll borders, gilt spine in 6 compartments, all edges gilt, the spine slightly faded, minor mildew residue, very good or better, housed in the original morocco case, rubbed.

Samuel Lee (1783-1852) was Arabic Professor, and later Regius Professor of Hebrew, at Cambridge. He edited both the New and Old Testmanet in Syriac.
