Published by John Booth, London, 1820, 1st edition. Half bound in red leather with marbled paper boards. Four raised bands to spine. Gilt lettering to spine. Aem. 13.5ins x 10ins, [vi], 36pp text, 8pp text about the Temple church and its monuments, followed by 123 plates. Plates drawn by J. Coney, G. Shepherd, W. Pearson and others. The plates are arranged alphabetically by the name of the church. The plates are printed on a thicker (cartridge type) paper than the text. Some occasional browning. Armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Overall a VG copy of a scarce title.
