Published by J.R. Smith, London, 1866, 1st edition. Publishers original blue pebbled cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and front board and gilt decorations to front board. Bevelled edges, no dustwrapper. Aeg. 12.5ins x 10.25ins, 106pp plus 32pp plates. Includes 4pp list of subscribers. Tipped in subscription receipt to a Mr J. N. Hefford, dated May 1866 ( he appears in the list of subscribers as living in Queen St, Derby). Plates printed on better quality paper than the text pages. Occasional foxing. Corners a bit worn. VG.
