Beatrix Potter Appley Dappley’s Nursery Rhymes 1st edition [1917] 15 colour plates featuring Appley Dappley the little brown mouse, Cottontail rabbit, Black rabbit, Pricklepin hedgehog and others. 53 pages, all printed on single sides.The title-page is undated, the first edition can only be identified by the correct endpapers [pictorial endpapers showing the “Peter Rabbit” books with Mr Tod and Pigling Bland present] There is some finger-creasing and some marking else contents complete and binding firm. 128 x 110 mm [approx 5” x 4 ¼”] original green boards with pictorial onlay; spine a little worn at edges, rear board a bit marked, slight rubbing but a very good copy of the scarce first edition.
