Book Description

Fifty Fifth Thousand and Fortieth Thousand consecutively. Red boards with gold illustration to the front and rear of each copy and gold lettering to the spines. Corners are bumped and there is staining to the boards. Gilt page edges. There has been some sympathetic repair to these areas and the dark green end papers in both copies may be replacements. Tissue guards to each black and white frontispiece. One illustration has been neatly coloured at page 11 of Through the Looking Glass, otherwise all other illustrations remain clean. Both copies have foxing, no inscriptions, with black and white illustrations by John Tenniel and bright pages throughout. (Any digital image available on request).
