                            this is a very attractively bound limited edition printing of A. E. Housman’s classic “A Shropshire Lad” this example being bound in a designer full leather binding, with a pictorial scene created in coloured leathers depicting the Ironbridge and River Severn in Shropshire. This binding was exhibited at The Society of Bookbinders Conference in Priorslee, Telford in 1999, the venue being very close to Ironbridge in Shropshire, with a loosely inserted slip stating this. The book is part of a numbered limited edition of 300 copies, this copy being number172. measuring 9.5 inches by 9 inches approx., 45 pages, not illustrated, the binding has some sunning wear to edges, most noticeable to rear cover, else binding is in good solid condition, internally contents nice and clean  A FINE HANDMADE UNIQUE DESIGNER BINDING ON THIS LIMITED EDITION ISSUE OF HOUSMAN’S A SHROPSHIRE LAD
