‘A New Version Of The Psalms Of David - Fitted to the Tunes used in Churches’ ~ by N. Brady, DD Chaplain in Ordinary and N. Tate, Esq, Poet Laureate; Printed for the Company of Stationers, London 1770. Very dark brown leather binding with 5 faux bands and with 6 designs between; 8vo, 248pps. Inside front page has a small piece torn off on the bottom corner, other front inside blank pages have dust marks and there is a crack on the spine partway up from the bottom; a section at the front has come loose and has been partly pasted back but some of the pps are out slightly out of alignment now - although firmly stuck back in; top of pps 19/20 has been torn off but doesn’t affect the reading of the Psalm, bottom of pps 140/142 has been torn off catching a few letters of the Psalm on p142, ditto on pps 180/182, also there is a tear up the part near the spine which has been cut on p180 for c1 & same for c 3 on p182, p226 has a small hole and a small c1/2 tear near bottom, p230 & 232 have small tears at bottom of pps; book has a few pencil notes & ticks; apart from the blemishes noted book is in good condition, but obviously the book has had a lot of wear over its c255 year life to date! £175
