Fourth edition. xii, viii, 270, [2]pp., engraved frontispiece 'Head of Windermere', five plates of engraved outlines of mountains, 2 circular maps (new to this edition), and a folding coloured map. A good copy bound in the publisher's original dark blue cloth, blind stamped and gilt lettered on the upper board. Title also in gilt on the spine. A little browning to the paper as usual. Bookplate of the Writers to the Signet, small number stamp on the verso of the title-page, and shelf number on the inner front board. Contemporary signature of J. Cleghorn on the end-paper. Bicknell 122.5. 12mo. Kendal: J. Hudson. 1853.
