Book Description
FIRST COLOUR EDITION. First impression. Large 8vo (9.5 x 6.4 inches). Originally published in 1926, uncoloured, Shepard coloured his own line illustrations for this edition. A minor crease to the top of the first 30 pages, otherwise a bright clean copy in publishers blue cloth with gilt stamped illustration of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin on front board. Spine lettered in gilt. Some bumps to the corners and the spine, otherwise a lovely copy. In the original very good dustwrapper which is price clipped to the inner front flap and has toned a little over the years but is still bright, and has some rubbing to the edges. Colour map endpapers. Overall a nice clean copy of this classic. Uncommon in this 1973 first printing.
