Book Description

A sound copy of the 1957 translation from the Russian by Pauline Rose. Buff coloured cloth with a black and yellow decoration to the front cover and black titles to the spine. The covers are rather sunned/stained , but the contents are clean. Numerous 'futuristic' illustrations by N Kolchitsky. Part fantasy , part anticipation regarding the exploration of space; the last two Chapters are - 'From Moscow to the Moon' and 'On the Moon' ! , and this 12 years before the first Moon landing !
