Book Description

20.5 x 15 cm. 'A film story based on the material contained in [Wells's] history of the the future "The Shape of Things to Come".' Thus the subtitle to this film 'treatment' published a year ahead of the Alexander Korda-directed film of the same name. The book is flat signed to the FEP by Wells and the actor Derrick de Marnay who played 'Richard Gordon' in the film. Blue cloth with inset titles in maroon and gold is clean with a small area of fade to the front. Some minor toning to prelims of otherwise pristine copy, clean throughout and entirely well bound.
