A pair of very lovely ephemeral books, published by W H C in what appears to be the late 1940s/early 1950s era. These two were part of the 'Success Series' of books, being illustrated fairy tales, presumably all illustrated by Lilian Rowles. Delightful colour paper covers, with two-tone illustrations to the interior. Very lovely - and fairly amazing survivors.....
