Book Description

This was an attractive centennial edition showcasing the best artistic achievements at the Theatre during 1959. To realise this some of the best creative photographers of the day (Tony Armstrong-Jones, Angus McBean, Alec Murray, Karsh of Ottawa, John Vickers, Roger Wood) were harnessed along with artists like Loudon Sainthill, Tanya Moiseiwitsch, Lila de Nobili, Veronica Haigh, Ruskin Spear, Boris Aronson, Margaret Harris & Ronald Searle. Iconic examples of advertising from the period appear at the front & rear. Also included is a History of the Theatre by Fordham Flower.
