Contains description of a pocket microscope. Illustrations: 26 folding engraved plates. The fourth leaf of the preface has been pasted onto the following, blank, leaf, obscuring the advertisement on the verso of vii. Contemporary mottled calf. Provenance from Earl of Macclesfield Library, with bookplate to front paste down and blind stamp to tp.
