                        Orange cloth boards with black lettering to spine.  Top edge gilt.  Rebound in library buckram.  Boards are generally in good order, just a little shelfwear and a rather uneven fade.  Corners are bumped.  Spine is faded with bumping to ends.  Foxing to the page edges.  Both inner hinges are cracked, but holding.  Textblock has one or two grubby marks but is generally clean.  Bookplate to fep.  Previous owner's mark to ffep, dated 1927.  Pagination: xxxi, 404 pp + advert.  Numerous illustrations - 11 maps & plans, some folding, 2 photogravure illustrations.  Additional photos are available upon request.
