The whole forms an important contribution to early Scottish poetry. This copy comes from the library of LASCELLES ABERCROMBIE and bears his signature. This edition has a portrait of James 1 of Scotland and an illustration of the original first page of the poem.
Dealer Notes
James 1 of Scotland is thought to have been the author of the Kingis Quair which was written in the early C15th. Lascelles Abercrombie was a poet & academic, one of the group of Dymock (or Georgian) poets.
