Bound in full leather with 4 raised bands, title & design on spine in gilt, also a design on front cover in gilt noting ‘Winchester College 1828’, aeg, green silk headbands; 8vo, 410pps, book is tight in binding, covers are very slightly rubbed and hinges on spine to covers are slightly worn; the book has been rebound very early in its life with dark maroon front and rear end papers; there is a white paper sheet stuck onto the inside front cover with Latin words printed and also some hand written words and a date 1828 (I don’t read Latin so can’t translate). A small booksellers label is stuck inside the top inside front cover noting ‘Robbins & Wheeler Booksellers Winchester’. Book is in good condition apart from the items listed above. #439
