With Frontispiece and 11 steel engravings by Cruikshank embellishing the text. On front fly leaf, in 19th c. pen “Charles Crake, 8th October 1850;” same copied over in later hand on front paste down. With original red-brown cloth binding, featuring vignette in gold of butler and cleaners chasing lady. Very occasional foxing or staining internally. The book has a bit of a lean. Overall VERY GOOD condition.
