A fine Facsimile,in a newly-designed and elegant binding, of the Golden Cockerel Press' edition of the Four Gospels, generally regarded as the press' finest production and as one of the most successful private press books of the twentieth century. The separate Commentary volume includes (1) John Dreyfus' essay on Eric Gill and the Golden Cockerel Type' (extracted from his book, A Typographical Masterpiece. A wonderful and collectable facsimile of this seminal work.
