5th edn, London, Longman et al, 1848. 8vo, xviii, 136p. Col title & 23 colour plates 'printed in gold, silver & copper' on a blue background. The 'Victoria Crown Piece by Barclay's process' plate is also present. Original dark red calf, expertly rebacked at some time, marbled endpapers, with coin & onlay decoration on front board. Bookplate of Charles W Whistler. Minor wear, minor browning, damp stain to top of Barclay's plate. VG nice example of Victorian colour printing.
