Contemporary neat ownership name in ink below the title “Dan Daulby.” The contents very clean with good margins. The first edition of the first book in prose solely on shooting. As the title implies, the book takes the form of a conversation between “Aimwell”, the instructor and Friendly (the customer) and Aimwell (Page, the gunsmith) unfolds to include advice on specific weapons, gun maintenance, and tables of shot/distance. Page a watch maker and gun maker from Norwich. The advert leaf at the end of the book offers "A catalogue of clocks, watches, guns and other machines". An excellent copy of a rare title, Chute 493, Schwerdt Vol II Page 58.
