Illustrated with 7 'drawings' by Norman Lindsay. Limited to 550 copies, this unnumbered with the Norman Lindsay designed Book Plate of Phil Lindsay (Norman Lindsay's son) inside the front cover. Translated by P.R. Stephenson. 'The Book was Printed in Poliphilus Type upon Arnold's Handmade Paper at the Botolph Works in Gate Street Kingsway London under the Supervision of William Dieper and the Plates were Engraved by Alexander & Sons the Book Bound by Kelly & Sons Typography and Production Arranged by Jack Lindsay and P.R. Stephenson'.
Dealer Notes
The front board is marked and all edges are scuffed with rubbing and loss to leather and cloth. The spine is very scuffed and is split, subsequently glued, at the top (c.9cms). The boards are slightly bent. Some foxing and fingering to contents, but the plates are generally clean. The page edges are dusty and browned.
