A copy of a lovely and unusual children's book, 'The Adventures of Jonathan Seal' by Heloise des Salles and published by Jonathan Cape in 1948. This copy is a first edition of the book in original dust wrapper. Wrapper is poor, with significant tearing to front and other chips and loss. Boards have corresponding patches of fading where wrapper has been lost. Internally, however, the book is in very good condition, with no real blemish. Beautiful line drawing by des Salles, generally half-page in nature. Tricky to find any copies of this one...
