Book Description

An apparently scarce original copy of 'Songs and Tunes for education' edited by John Curwen, appearing to date from 1860 (dated introduction by Curwen). The book is somewhat worn (as might be expected), lacking ffep and with one or two loose leaves. Boards also somewhat worn, with loss to base of spine. Contains numerous pieces of music within its 130+ pages (with harmonies by Westminster Abbey organist James Turle - and 'a base which may be sung by male teachers'...). In need of restoration??
