This is a signed 1st edition, 2nd impression H/Bk copy of “Ships of Heaven – The Private Life of Britain's Cathedrals” by Christopher Somerville and published by Doubleday in 2019 with its unclipped dust jacket. The book covers some 18 Cathedrals in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland from Kirkwall in the north to Chichester in the South. The book has 341 pages and a further 16 pages of colour illustrations and is bound in purple cloth with the titles on the spine in gold and apart from the authors signature on the title page I have not found any other marks or inscriptions. The book is in unread condition and has a clear cellophane cover to protect the jacket.
