Printed by Nichols & Sons, London, 1873. Original brown cloth with blind stamped design to front and rear. Gilt lettering to spine. 12ins x 9.75ins, frontis, titlepage, 79pp text plus double page map and 4 plates within the text with a further 12pp plates of artefacts discovered at the end of the book. The map shows The City of London and its Liberties, with details connected with the Roman Occupation. It shows the wards and the city churches. Also line drawn illustrations within the text. Presentation inscription from author ("with the authors compts") to verso of front free endpaper. Also signature of another owner. Spine has been relaid retaining original cloth and original endpapers. Some wear to edges of boards. Internally VG, externally G+
