The Camden Group of painters included famous artists like Robert Bevan, Harold Gilman, Charles Ginner, Spencer Gore & Walter Sickert. They chronicled the changes in British society & the rapidly developing city of London just before & during the First World War. This book accompanied a major exhibition of the work of these artists that was held at Tate Britain between February & May 2008. Additional newspaper & magazine material (eg. review of exhibition) has been loosely inserted inside front cover by previous owner.
